“With Season 1: MetalPunk Rhapsody, we’re opening the game to all players,” said Matt Candler, CEO of Studio369, in a statement. “We’ve listened to our community and delivered the features they’ve been asking for, from UE5 visuals to Barony Wars. There’s never been a better time to join the action on Kerberos.”
While Season 1 spotlights the MetalPunk faction, future seasons will explore other factions, such as the Gear Breakers and Holy Corp, each bringing a unique flavor to the game. The game’s MetalPunk theme takes center stage in Season 1, delving into the rich lore of this faction. Players can expect themed content, skins, and storylines that bring the MetalPunk ethos to life.
Missions have been tweaked to provide a more engaging experience for both new and veteran players. The user onboarding process has been refined, making it easier for newcomers to jump into the action. New PvP bounties and fresh mission content will keep seasoned players on their toes.
Season 1: MetalPunk Rhapsody introduces a host of new features designed to improve the MetalCore experience. The much-anticipated PvE Raids will challenge up to 10 faction members to work in unison, strategically navigating the treacherous terrains of Kerberos while facing off against deadly alien species and securing vital resources. These high-stakes cooperative missions will test players’ teamwork and tactical acumen, with success in strengthening their faction’s foothold on the planet.
The introduction of Unit Rarity and Stats adds a new layer to gameplay. Players will discover that their mechs and vehicles now possess randomized strengths and values, with rarer units boasting superior stats and unique abilities. A new Seasonal Rewards system has been implemented to offer exclusive, time-limited prizes to those who achieve specific premium tier statuses and provide a compelling reason to climb the ranks and showcase their prowess on the battlefield.
The mission system in MetalCore has also received a significant update. Introductory missions have been refined to improve first-time user experience, making it easier for new players to get started and understand the game’s core mechanics. This improved onboarding process aims to provide a smoother entry point for newcomers to the world of Kerberos. For more experienced players, the update introduces new PvP bounties and fresh mission content to bring further challenge and depth.
The game will be available on the Epic Games Store. Players can join the MetalCore community on Discord to receive the latest updates and participate in launch events.
