After three years of rigorously documenting their journey raising an adopted child with autism, fans of of the Stauffer family began noticing Huxleyâs absence from their vlogs and social media posts. In May 2020, the Stauffers, who also share four biological children, announced they made the decision to give up their adopted son in a since-deleted video titled âAn Update on Our Family.â
âOnce Huxley came home, there were a lot more special needs that we werenât aware of, and that we were not told,â James said in the video, per People. âWeâve never wanted to be in this position. And weâve been trying to get his needs met and help him out as much as possibleâ¦we truly love him.â
