You know a bottle of white nail polish hates to see Meghan Markle coming.
On November 14, Markle stepped out in Venice, California, to celebrate her close friend and hair colorist Kadi Lee’s new hair care collection, Highbrow Hippie. In keeping with her pension for classic tailoring and effortless jumpsuits, the Duchess of Sussex wore a simple black look featuring straight-leg trousers and a strapless top with a princess neckline. She paired the understated look with a simple gold pendant and strappy black sandals.
As always, Markle’s look was elegant and unfussy. It rarely appears as if the mother-of-two spends too much time planning outfits or chasing trends, often choosing monochrome items that pair effortlessly while opting for the same classic white manicure and pedicure just in case the look calls for sandals instead of closed-toed pumps.
No matter the season or occasion, Meghan Markle often relies on a soft white polish to finish off a look. In early October she attended a fundraising gala for the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles wearing an updated version of her plunging red Carolina Herrera dress with simple red sandals and her go-to shade—the same tone she sported with her white linen skirt, matching knit top, and black flat thong sandals during an August visit to Colombia.
Clearly a seasonless shade, her white polish paired beautifully with her cutout Johanna Ortiz sundress, which she wore during a visit to Nigeria in May. Winter, spring, summer, or fall, you can’t go wrong with a basic white mani-pedi.
