Get your jump split impressions ready! Netflix says Americaâs Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders season 2 is happening.
The docuseries, which followed the Cowboysâ iconic cheerleaders through one entire season from auditions to the last game, was a fan favorite upon its release and turned people into DCC fans all over the nation.
Now, Netflix has confirmed that their cameras have been capturing the team as they embarked a new season. Here everything we know about season 2 of Americaâs Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.
What can we expect in season 2?
Netflix has confirmed that just as in season 1, their cameras got a ton of access to the team. The second season will be following the 2024-2â025 squad from âauditions and training camp and continuing all the way through the NFL season.â
So if itâs anything like season 1, we can expect a lot of highsâboth kicks and emotionsâas well as lows and drama as the cheerleaders navigate juggling their career, personal life, and devotion to DCC.
Who will be featured in season 2?
While we arenât sure yet who will be the standout stars on the show, we do know that some season 1 favorites have moved on. Breakout star Victoria Kalina retired from the DCC and moved to New York, and other cheerleaders, such as Kelcey Wetterberg, also retired at the end of season 1.
Beyond that, it sure seems as though Reece Weaver will have a big role this season, since she is prominently featured in the first teaser image released of the show. We can also see returning favorite Anna Kate Sundvold in the teaser, so safe to say she will be on the show as well (maybe even with her fellow DCC-alum sister, Caroline, in tow).
Is there a trailer?
Netflix released a teaser trailer to coincide with the announcement, which features Weaver, Sundvold, and other team members doing a dance, placing their poms to form a â2.â
When does season 2 premiere?
Netflix hasnât yet said when exactly the show will premiere, just that it will be sometime in 2025.
