Dezeen Showroom: German brand Wilkhahn has unveiled a system of mobile and reconfigurable office furniture that adapts to ever-changing open-plan workplaces.
The Confair Next system was showcased on Wilkhahn’s stand at Orgatec 2024 in Cologne and was designed to enable highly flexible communication and collaboration areas.
“Confair Next redefines the requirements of contemporary collaboration,” said the company. “And it translates them into a broad product family that makes teamwork successful and future-proof.”
“Its customisable and coordinated design means Confair Next is very versatile,” it continued. “It’s a go-to option for lounge areas to learning spaces, innovation rooms and workshops all the way to executive offices.”
The system includes a series of divider walls containing integrated screens, whiteboards and pinboards, as well as lecterns, shelving and tables that can be combined to create collaborative spaces. These are complemented with stools, also on castors, that include a connected side table.
Other reconfigurable elements are available in a wide range of colours and finishes to suit any office environment. The frames can be white, black or silver, while two fabric collections are available for upholstery.
The components have been designed to be extremely durable to ensure a long life.
