Logitech launches bevy of game products at LogiPlay event

Logitech launched a number of products for gamers today at its LogiPlay event. Some of the products, like the Pro Series mice and keyboards, have been in the works for more than three years.

Here’s a snapshot of all of the Logitech announcements.

AI Game Highlighter

Logitech G, a game brand of Logitech, said that Streamlabs will add a new feature, AI Game Highlighter, that leverages AI to make content capture and publishing smarter, faster and more advanced than ever.

“In today’s digital landscape, it’s crucial for content creators to have a presence across multiple platforms,” said Ashray Urs, head of Streamlabs, in a statement. “Streamlabs’ AI Game Highlighter allows streamers to automatically repurpose their Twitch stream into evergreen content that appeals to a wider audience across their favorite content platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and more. Our tool does all the heavy lifting for streamers without needing complicated and time-consuming video editing solutions.”

Growing a Twitch channel to reach a wider audience can be challenging. Hence, the ability to efficiently and seamlessly create, edit, and publish engaging content that resonates with viewers across multiple platforms is more critical than ever. With the new AI Game Highlighter, the best gameplay moments from game streams are automatically identified and combined into a highlight reel that can be managed by Streamlabs Desktop broadcasting software.

With the click of a button, streamers can turn streams into engaging content for publishing across their social content platforms. This saves time manually sifting through hours of footage and ensures streamers can capture the most compelling content for their social media channels.

Streamers can focus on what matters most – connecting with their audience and growing their channels. Logitech G unveils racing series gear for sim racing

Logitech G also announced the Racing Series, releasing a set of gear for fans of racing simulation games.

The Racing Series lets players fine-tune their gear setup and equipment levels to match their driving styles.

“We’ve heard from numerous sim racers that their setup should mirror the car they’re driving, whether it’s tackling gravel in a rally car, drifting with burning rubber, or navigating an open-wheeler with precision,” said Richard Neville, head of Sim product engineering at Logitech G, in a statement. “Each of these disciplines requires distinct steering input styles to achieve peak performance and the best feel, which is why the steering wheel shapes in these vehicles vary greatly. We developed the RS system specifically
for motorsport enthusiasts who want to play their way.”

Sim racers’ expectations are primarily driven by the desire to replicate the feeling of a real-world car. This encompasses the steering wheel and additional controls such as shifting and handbrakes. Additionally, sim racers want the flexibility to upgrade their system as needed or as their budget permits. They may seek to purchase specific components to achieve particular goals, whether attaining a certain torque level in their wheel, selecting a specific steering wheel shape, or ensuring compatibility across multiple platforms with a single device.

Logitech G partnership with Momo

Logitech G announced a multi-year partnership with Momo that includes the introduction of two new premium wheels: the SIM GT 320 and SIM GT-Racer 290 designed to the exact specifications of the
latest Logitech G RS Wheel Hub.

Momo is an Italian motorsports brand which has produced hand-crafted racing equipment for over sixty years for prestigious brands like Ferrari, Porsche, and Rolls Royce and racing legends such as Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher.

“We are proud to collaborate with Logitech G, bringing together the unmatched legacy of MOMO in motorsports with the cutting-edge innovation of Logitech G. Momo will design, develop, manufacture, and launch Logitech G Racing Series-compatible premium steering wheels.

Momo has designed premium racing wheels in close collaboration with Logitech G to ensure seamless compatibility with the RS Wheel Hub. Utilizing the same 100% hand-crafted in Italy production methods as their entire range of steering wheels, these wheels feature a 3mm thick black anodized aluminum plate
and a luxurious hand-wrapped microfiber rim grip. The SIM GT-Racer 290 Wheel matches the 290mm diameter of the Logitech RS Wheels, while the GT Wheel offers a more significant 320mm option.

Thanks to an adapter, Momo’s full range is now compatible with PRO Racing Wheel. Whether you prefer a wood-grained, heritage option, a premium leather-finished wheel inspired by the street, or authentic racing wheels, you can select your racing style from over 100 Momo steering wheels.

The Momo X G SIM wheels are expected to be available in January 2025 for $200.

Logitech G Pro Series Mice and keyboard

You can’t have Logitech fest without a computer mouse. Logitech G announced its lateste Pro Series mice and keyboard products designed for elite esports athletes and competitive gamers. The new lineup includes the Pro X Superlight 2 DEX Gaming Mouse, the Pro 2 Lightspeed Gaming Mouse, and the PRO X TKL Rapid Gaming Keyboard.

“We pour a lot into the Pro Series products, focusing on innovations that deliver immediate performance gains by forming deep partnerships with pros to meet their exacting needs. The new Pro 2 Lightspeed takes the original ambidextrous design of the PRO Wireless gaming mouse to the next level with state-of-the-art components and performance enhancements.

This is an evolution of an esports icon featuring the latest Lightspeed and Hero 2 updates.

Pro X TKL Rapid: This device is Logitech’s debut magnetic analog keyboard, offering adjustable actuation points and rapid trigger functionality. These features empower professionals to execute movements and commands with exceptional speed and precision. The keyboard’s actuation points, and rapid trigger settings can be adjusted instantly without software, making it ideal for esports pros who must configure new hardware on systems where software installation isn’t allowed.

Lightspeed G309 wireless gaming mouse

Logitech also introduced the G309 Lightspeed wireless gaming mouse — Kamisato Ayaka special edition. This wireless mouse will sell for $80 and is available at logitechg.com.

Designed for optimized gaming performance, the G309 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse is a premium, dual-wireless connectivity mouse with precision tracking in a newly designed form factor.

Designed with Logitech G’s Lightspeed technology, the G309 provides a high-performance gaming experience while delivering a compact, lightweight gaming mouse. Logitech G also partnered with the popular open-world adventure role-playing game, Genshin Impact. In a multi-year global partnership, the partners announced the official Genshin Impact PC gaming gear collection.

The partnership also includes a multi-year roadmap for future product collaborations.

Fans can purchase the G309 Lightspeed Bluetooth Gaming Mouse according to the following schedule: Amazon will begin accepting pre-orders for the G309 Lightspeed Bluetooth Gaming Mouse in the U.S. and Canada on September 17, with shipping expected in late November. The Mainland of China will start pre-orders in September, and Japan will ship in November.

G915 X Series low-profile keyboard

Logitech G announced the Logitech G915 X Gaming Keyboard. Standing at an 23 millimeters high, this is one of the company’s thinnest low-profile wireless gaming keyboards.

The G915 X features a completely redesigned galvanic switch. The original switches’ hook-style stem were replaced with a new POM, cross-style stem. This new design improves the overall stability of the key for a better and quieter typing experience and simplifies the replacement or customization of your keycaps.

In addition, the switches’ actuation point was reduced from 1.5 to 1.3mm, resulting in quicker actuation. PBT keycaps were added and upgraded from ABS to double-shot, shine-through PBT, which offers better resistance to wear and reduces the visibility of potential oil from your fingers.

The build quality is key to a superior typing experience. The aluminum top plate thickness was increased from 1.2 to 1.5 mm, improving the product’s structural strength and adding the final touch of improvement to an already-loved typing experience.

The G915 X Lightspeed retains the original’s tri-mode connectivity and features ultrafast Lightspeed wireless, Bluetooth, and USB-wired connectivity. Moreover, the battery life was improved compared to the original without compromising performance.

With backlighting off, the full-size version of the G915 X Lightspeed delivers up to 800 hours of battery life. At a hundred percent RGB brightness and on Lightspeed, it offers up to 36 hours of continuous use, a 20% improvement over the original. Astro A50 Gen 5 with Playsync Audio

Lastly, Logitech unveiled the Logitech G Astro A50 5th Generation Wireless Gaming Headset and Base Station. It joins its bigger brother, the A50 X, to form the new A50 family of high-performance gaming headsets with advanced feature sets for multi-platform gamers.

The A50 Generation 5, now with Playsync Audio, is based on the same architecture as the award-winning A50 X, offering a streamlined and versatile feature set tailored for multiplatform gamers.
