Coffee Stain Studio launches the 1.0 version of its popular game, Satisfactory, after the game has been in early access for five years. In addition, the studio announced it’s working on a console release for the multiplayer title, though it will be some time before we see it. In addition to launching out of early access, Satisfactory also adds several new features for its existing players.
According to Coffee Stain, it’s launched Phase 5 of Project Assembly, the player’s progression system. This includes advanced tech such as portals, allowing players faster transport across land, and dimensional depots for inventory management.
Players can also access Tier 9 buildings and customize their outfits. Coffee Stain also teased a “heartwarming conclusion” to the Early Access story earlier this year.
Satisfactory launched in early access on Steam and the Epic Games Store in March 2019, where it’s since sold 5.5 million copies, according to Coffee Stain. The studio was one of those that spun off from Embracer Group when the company split into three separate groups: It’s now part of Coffee Stain & Friends and falls under the group’s premium games segment. Other studios in the group include Ghost Ship, Tarsier, Tuxedo Labs and THQ Nordic.
